Little Wheels Big Hearts of Tennessee is a charitable initiative that collects new, unopened toy cars and trucks, toddler and baby wheeled toys, as well as other toys, for children staying at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. Since its inception in 2018, Little Wheels Big Hearts has collected over 18,000 new toys for the children of Memphis and the Mid-South.
Our Mission is to become the sole provider of toys for Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and their Bunny Lane Toy Room.
Founded in 2018, Little Wheels Big Hearts of Tennessee has been serving our community for over 7 years. Our charitable organization was established to help those children in need, especially during the Holiday Season. Since 2021, our toy drive has donated over 10,000 new toys to Le Bonheur and their Bunny Lane toy room. At Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, there is one thing the children must do before heading to surgery - hop to Bunny Lane to pick out a special toy. They join generations of patients who have experienced Bunny Lane, one of Le Bonheur's longest traditions. Started in 1952, as the hospital has grown in 71 years, the tradition has remained. Today more than 14,000 children travel through Bunny Lane each year on their way to the operating rooms. The toys they select will be with them when they go into and when they wake up from surgery. The Bunny Lane toy tradition gives the child a positive experience as they begin his or her surgical journey. Little Wheels Big Hearts of TN provides a very simple and inexpensive way to bring those children a little love, encouragement, silliness and bravery before they head into surgery.
